The pasty week in class, I was very intrigued on the presentation about how AI can be used to create artwork. This form of art can take various forms, including paintings, sculptures, music, literature, and even digital installations. AI art has sparked discussions about the intersection of technology and creativity, raising questions about authorship, aesthetics, and the role of the artist in the creative process. I think that using AI to create artwork could be helpful in coming up with ideas, but after experimenting I do not really think that I would consider it as ‘artwork’.

I decided to try and create some art using adobe firefly.

For the picture on the top the promt was: A huge castle in the middle of the woods with tons of flowers and a pretty sunset in the background

For the picture on the bottom the prompt was: Candy store with tons of candy and cute pink and blue decorations on the beach

Visualization: My thoughts on “Art in the age of machine intelligence 2020”

Refik Anadol, the visionary media artist, embarks on a transformative journey blending data and AI into mesmerizing artworks. Inspired by childhood fascination with “Blade Runner,” Anadol explores the interplay of memory and artificial intelligence. Establishing his studio in 2014, he collaborates across disciplines to create immersive experiences like “Virtual Depictions” and “Machine Hallucination,” which transcend the boundaries of traditional art forms. Through projects  Anadol delves into the depths of human consciousness and memory, pushing the boundaries of what art can convey.  Finally,  Anadol showcases AI’s potential to illuminate the collective wisdom of humanity, emphasizing the vital role of human creativity in shaping AI’s future as it expands the horizons of learning, remembering, and dreaming. This was very fascinating to watch and think about how AI is expanding into being more creative and maybe could eventually create meaningful pieces of artwork.
